21st Century Programs

Amazement Square has the pleasure of participating in three of Lynchburg City Schools 21st Century Programs, federally funded programs that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-schools hours for students. Through these programs Amazement Square is able to work with students at Dunbar Middle School, Heritage Elementary School, and Bass Elementary School. Dunbar Middle students visit the museum once per week to participate in hands-on programs in each of our exhibits before researching and designing their own exhibitions. Heritage and Bass Elementary Schools participate in programs learning about fitness and geography through participating in active experiences using geocaches.
